Dutchess County Exchange Club adds
Zion Vestry member John Karge
to “America’s Service Group”

WAPPINGERS FALLS (10/19/21) - The Exchange Club of Dutchess County has welcomed Dutchess County Director of Veterans Services Adam Roche, Kimberly Haight, and Village of Wappingers Falls Village Clerk John Karge to the club.

Roche, Haight, the Director of the Dutchess-based Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse, and Karge are now part of what is known as “America’s Service Club“, and join a group of nearly 20,000 members
Exchange Club members across the country are dedicated to serving their communities through projects fulfilling three Programs of Service – Americanism, Youth Programs, and Community Projects – as well as its National Project, the prevention of child abuse. President Lori Jiava offered the following statement:

John Karge is a retired US Army Staff Sergeant, Vice Commander of the American Legion Post 472, and has served as Wappingers Falls  Village Clerk for the past 16 years.  John Karge truly embodies the term ‘Americanism’, according to Jiava.  Karge has already rolled his sleeves up and gotten to work on helping to identify Veterans in need of support for the club’s National Day of Service.  Together with the Dutchess County Department of Veterans Services, headed by Adam Roche, The Exchange aims to identify two deserving Veterans in need of support this November.  “At our roots, our club is about Service to others; and we can think of no one more deserving than our local American Heroes,” said Jiava.

Congratulations, John!
